TWO TIMERS MTB JUMP COMPETITIONS

ALL OVER RED ROVER!
The Two Timers competition is cancelled!
Unfortunately there will be no part two of the Two Timers comp. It was due to be re-run at Eagle Quarry on Dec 2, but due to circumstances out of my control, and a lack of $$ required to actually run the event...it is with great regret I have to cancel the event. Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to the event.
THE GOOD NEWS IS, we can still run an open day at the jumps on Dec 2, so we will have access to the park for vehicles and we can use the jumps - but it will be ride at own risk, no first aid, no infrastructure...just riding with mates. Riders interested in getting vehicle access should email me - vehicle booking
28.11.07 - there is unfortunately NO good news regarding the open day at the jumps, a big lack of response by riders, indicates a low level of interest in getting access into the park and having a jam with just the riders.
ORS was keen, they spent money on the facility to make it better for the riders, they were going to give us access to get into the park, Al and crew put in a heap of work, but sadly it doesnt look like the local riders are that interested. If the local riders are keen to try and run jump events in the future, please email me and let me know.

Check out some of the prizes!

Not one but TWO jump competitions for the Mountainbikers here in South Australia!

We have now received some great support from a number of companies including the initial support by
Paul from PRO TEC, ensuring the event could at least get off the ground. Big thanks Paul/ PRO TEC.
Following this we now also have support from Arnette, NS Bikes, Trail Solutions, Red Bull, Fox, plus
media support from [R]evolution MTB Magazine, Skuff TV, PODMO, The Pirate & of course Volatile
Visions®.

WIN A NS Bikes STREETLEGAL FRAME VALUED AT $650!! All competitors go in the running
to win a brand new NS Bikes "Streetlegal" Frame thanks to support from Rhythm Imports. The prize will
be drawn at the Eagle Quarry Comp on May 20.

Be the first to check out the new Volatile Mobile Channel, with support through PODMO. We will turn
the Events into PODMO Free Zones for everyone with blue tooth equipped mobile phones.

Big props to Alan Hepburn, DJ, Chris Soininen and crew for all their efforts building the trails. As it happens
these guys have been heavly involved in both the Eagle Quarry Trail and Hackham Trail, it is only becuase
they have done such a great job, that we are able to run these events. Thanks guys!

The categories will be Junior (under 16 Jan 1 2007), open, pro and a 'showboat' class. The Showboaters
is a category for guys who like jumping, but arent really throwing down competition tricks. These guys will still
have the opportunity to throw down some style and have fun riding the jumps on the day.

Riders must be signed up to ride the jumps on the day.

Hackham Jumps are located in the Eastern corner of Forsyth Reserve. I please ask everyone to park in the
carpark at the South Road entrance, and please be respectful and mindful of neighbours. There is a retirement
village next to the jumps who's interest in dirt jumping is not at the same level as ours. They dont want their street
and adjoining reserve filled with yahoo's!
IF THE RESIDENTS COMPLAIN AFTER THE EVENT, THE COUNCIL MAY BE FORCED INTO DRASTIC MEASURES.
Please dont undo Alan's and the guys hard work. If we do it well, we can do it again!

The Eagle Quarry Jumps are located in up the old Freeway in the new MTB Park. There will be a gold coin donation
for cars, and you will be able to park in the quarry - but there will be no vehicle access to the downhill track.

There will be a WORKING BEE at Hackham jumps on Friday March 30 for anyone keen to lend a hand. There will also
be a working bee at Eagle Park before the comp...more info on that date as it gets closer.

I will be putting up some maps in the near future to give better direction on how to get to the jumps.
