April 27th.

I finally managed to get around to putting up some results and a few images from the Dirt Jam. Check out the Results.

Big thanks again to BMX SA for supporting the kids come and try event, with about 30 kids having a great time trying their skills on the race track. Thanks also to the crew who helped run the Dirt jam and helped with the packing up, thanks to Ben and Nigel and crew from the City Dirt Jump Club for having the jumps looking great and running sweet.

We also managed to raise about $150 through donations for recently injured Grant Allen, and I passed the money tin over to Grant's little boy Jack who was most excited to find out what was inside the Milo tin with pictures of his dad on it.

BMX overall winner Dean who travelled over from Victoria taking home the Volatile Bling!

April 18th.

Just a quick report for now, I will update more info and details in about a week, due to travel at the moment. I think all riders and spectators had a great day at the park, fantastic weather, some great skills by the riders, and the little tackers definately seemed to have a ball at racing. Big thanks to the guys who travelled from interstate, Nigel, Callam,Ben and crew who had the jumps looking absolutely prime and all the guys who helped with the set up and pack down after the jam.
In the end it was Tom who took out top honours in the Jam and also the best trick for MTB, and Dean taking out the jam for BMX with Travis walking away with the $100 best trick.
Thanks again to everyone who helped out in making it a great day for the riders who took part!

Ive finally got the trophies back and have dropped them into Little Black Bike until the jam on Sunday. Chromed up I reckon they look pretty sweet.
We have also confirmed the Red Bull girls will be there for the jam with product giveaways for the riders.

The weather forecast for Sunday is looking good aswell, so Im looking forward to a great day in the park.

See you on Sunday. Tell your friends - Dirt Jam from 1pm - 3pm. Kids 4 - 14 from 11am - 1pm. Kids must wear long sleeves and long pants to ride.

On a bit of a tough note Grant Allen the big stunt guy, is in pretty good spirits, but on the long road to recovery after a pretty serious back injury as a result of one of the biggest gaps every seen. He landed it but overjumped it and crashed after landing. Im sure I join many in wishing Grant a full and speedy recovery.

Thought I would update a photo of the trophies for the Dirt Jam, and also a shot of the Dirt Park for those who haven't seen it lately. Nigel, Callam and crew have done heaps of work, and the whole park is looking the best I reckon its ever looked, hats off to those guys.

I heard a rumour possibly some crew from Mebourne are coming over, which would be great if they can get down for it. If people would like to put down there names to register their interest, that would be great to have an idea of numbers, both for the Come and Try BMX and also the Dirt Jam. Ive finally sorted through the legal and insurance side of things to get the information on the City Dirt Park Ride 2011 out and about.
Still working through a few small details, but I will be posting regular updates here on the site about the event on Sunday April 17th at the City Dirt Park.
FREE Come and Try BMX (Supported by SA BMXA) PLUS a MTB and BMX Dirt Jam, supported through Freestyle BMX plus sponsorship for the major prize winners from Bicycle Express and Matt from Little Black Bike. Old mate Ben Benny from Rhythm Imports will also provide a few prizes thanks to NS bikes.
BMX registration from 10am for the Come and Try, 4yrs and upwards, all riders must be registered and must wear long sleeves and long pants and full face helmets. Riders without full face helmets will be able to hire them at NO CHARGE, thanks to SA BMXA. Registration for the Dirt Jam will run from 12pm, riders will incur a small fee $10 - $15 to cover insurance.

Its been so long since Ive worked on the website, that I've forgotten how to build the files..! DOH!

After many years hanging out with my growing family, instead of dedicating my weekends to bikes, riding, filming and digging, I thought it would be great to run another event at the new and improved city dirt park.

Sunday April 17th 2011, Im running a free Come and Try BMX event on the junior tracks, and will also feature a Dirt Jam for MTB and BMX on the Advanced Park. Just sorting through the final legal side of things and then will post more info.

Id love to see a few old faces again and catch up and have some fun. Bring your kids, tell your friends...more news soon.
