ROUND 5 SA STATE DH SERIES - 12 August 2007 - Willunga
The Sun was out, then it rained, then the rain stopped and it was a lovely day, then it got windy, then it rained, then the sun came out again...all in all I think this was some of the best weather seen at a Willunga DH.
I would have to say this is the best downhill track SA has raced on for a long, long time - Yates, West, TB and crew definately deserve a pat on the back for making a great course.
West has probably wrapped up the series with yet another win - I think that will make it four for the series, probably one of the most consistent series winners on record if my memory serves me right. (which it doesnt always do)
Ryan Norton qualified fastest ahead of West, with Clarky getting onto the podium, and a few different faces qualifying really well which is great to see. West first ahead of Norton then Yates, with Frenchy and Clarky rounding out the top five.
Good spectators on the hill, good atmosphere, I think I got some good footage, hooray for Willunga!
Big thanks to the propery owner Paul Giles for letting us back to Willunga,
All the stats, results and more will be available on the IL website for more details.
Mt Gambier next, then its all run and done till the Nationals.
