Well the event has been done and dusted. We had great weather and a good turnout, with around 30 junior riders taking part in the Come'n'try BMX racing and about a dozen riders for the Dirt Jam, with some crazy tricks thrown down by the BMXers and the MTB riders on the day.
Points in the Dirt Jam for BMX: 36 Points - Dean Manson (Vic) Travis took out the $100 cash for best trick nailing a stretched supercan tailwhip. 39 Points - Tom Hall Tom also took out the $100 cash for best trick naiing a sweet 720 over the first set. Big thanks to all the riders and guys who helped out on the day, Vern and crew from BMX SA and especially Ben, Nigel and crew from the City Dirt Jump Club who had the jumps looking sweet and running great on the day.
Sunday April 17th 2011, Volatile Visions in association with the Adelaide City Council, SA BMXA and Freestyle BMX are running a free Come and Try BMX event on the junior tracks, and will also feature a Dirt Jam for MTB and BMX on the Advanced Park. Id love to see a few old faces again and catch up and have some fun. Bring your kids, tell your friends...
